High Thought is an intimate infusion of (high) thoughts that are a mixture of frivolous and (sometimes) profound if I’m lucky. Written with consideration for those interested in the creative process or personal peek behind the curtain into a particularly chaotic brain room.

(The best experience is on the website, in my opinion!)

🌸 Good morning/afternoon/evening, depending on where you are in the world. : )

It’s summer in the northern hemisphere. What a beautiful thing for our brains.

I’ve been trying to spend as much time outside as I can while I have the time at home. Lizzy and I love to get up early and go outside to work before it gets too hot. To be honest, I cannot speak for her. She hasn’t told me this. I, personally, love it.

I do want to see my friends’ sketches and iphone photos and little collages. I honestly dream of collectively decommodifing what we put online and expecting nothing in return, just sharing and showing each other what’s going on in a way that takes the pressure off the work to β€œperform” and just let it be.

In that spirit, here are a few things that can just be, maybe?

Inspo for presenting information. This sign is great. Honestly it’s kinda Brat. πŸ’š

When I leave my apartment, sometimes I’ll give myself a little photo challenge. Try to make photos…in my own neighborhood, on an errand, in a boring place, when I’m feeling anxious and need to clear out my head.

Here are a couple recently:
